We are looking for students who possess a keen desire to learn and wish to pursue a range of activities to develop their talents. But as the Optimus is an independent school, admission is solely a matter of the Principal’s decision based on professional criteria and advice from the appropriate admissions officer nominated by the school.
Optimus is a residential and day boarding school. Students may be admitted as full term/ weekly or day boarders. We do not encourage the boarding option for children studying lower than Class 4. For those children in their early years from LKG to Class 3 the school will offer day care facilities.
Admission to Lower Kindergarten (LKG)
- Children joining LKG must be aged 3+ by December of the previous year.
- Parents may register their children in advance, as admission is on a first come basis.
- Parents and children are called to meet the Admissions Committee before admissions.
Admission to other classes
- Admissions to other Classes depend on vacancies.
- The child must be of the right age group for the Class
- The child may be asked to undergo a small test.
- Admissions are done from November till May the following year.
Selection Procedure
Children applying for admission to the Kindergarten classes will be examined by a teacher. This is a personal and oral interaction and the child may also be asked to do some simple activities.
Students seeking admission into classes 4 and above will have a personal interview and a written test. Testing is done for Basic English and Mathematics. For classes 6 and above students will also be assessed for Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology integrated).
School Visit
Parents of the prospective students are most welcome to visit the school and have an informal discussion with the administrator or the available staff. For this, please fix up a prior appointment with the Admissions section of the school office;
