About Optimus

The Optimus (Latin for ‘The Best’), is the new Public School founded by the Bhavani Educational Services Trust (The B.E.S.T.). It is a ‘Public school’ in the British sense - a privately funded, prestigious, independent school.

In the Optimus, you will not find a factory model school. What you will find is a top quality school system- the result of high intentions, sincere efforts, intelligent directions and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

The school is being developed for about 1000 students, from Preschool to Class Twelve. The school will follow the curriculum given by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). However, within that curricular framework, the school will aim for more. The school subscribes to the idea that education is inspirational. To transform that philosophy into practice, the school is evolving its own teaching-learning systems, keeping in mind the psychological needs of the children and the current educational trends.

Initially, in the year 2010, the school starts with classes from LKG to Seven. Further classes will be added in the forthcoming years. The school has formed a caring and nurturing team of faculty and staff who are very passionate about their job.

An expansive new school facility is being developed on a forty acre, sprawling and serene campus. The location is about 20 kms from Erode city, away from the congestion and pollution of the urban areas. The architecture of the school provides for the ideal environment for exciting learning. The school is developing an exclusive arboretum and a teaching garden with abundant greenery.

Facilities include many laboratories, a spacious Library-Media-Centre, studios for Art, Music, Dance and Theatre. Sporting facilities include all standard sized fields, tracks, courts and a swimming pool.

The School will offer the choice of day, weekly and term boarding options. Boarding facilities include comfortable spacious dorms and catering services of the highest standards.

Beyond these, the school will adopt and implement a behavioural management system to ensure that our children cultivate desirable behaviour in their daily lives.
